Privacy Policy for Sudoku Logic
Introduction
Sudoku Logic (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a mobile application that provides classic Sudoku gameplay, local progress tracking, and optional in-app help content. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the App and how it is handled.
We do not operate a user login system in the App. You are not required to create an account to use core features. We do not sell your personal information.
By using the App, you acknowledge this policy.
What we do not collect
- We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs in this version of the App.
- We do not collect advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID) for ads or ad personalization.
- We do not upload your game saves, completion records, or settings to our own servers—the App does not include a central account or cloud sync backend operated by us.
- The App is designed for offline-first use; the manifest for this version does not declare general Internet access for app functionality.
Network access and third-party services
Core gameplay, tutorials, and bundled images in this version are provided from assets packaged inside the App. We do not require network connectivity for those features.
If a future version adds optional online features (for example, loading supplemental content), we will update this policy and the Google Play listing accordingly before release.
Data stored on your device only
The following types of data may be stored locally on your device using Android’s DataStore (or equivalent local storage):
- Game in progress: puzzle identifiers, board state, notes, timer-related values, and related metadata needed to resume a session.
- Completion records: difficulty, level number, time spent, and completion timestamps for levels you finish (shown in the Records tab).
- Progress counters: per-difficulty level progression used when you start a new game from the home screen.
- Preferences: in-app settings such as sound, vibration, and display-related options you configure in Settings.
- First-launch flags: minimal flags used to improve first-run experience (for example, whether an automatic onboarding flow has already been shown).
This data remains on your device unless you clear the App’s storage in Android system settings, uninstall the App, or use in-app controls where available (for example, deleting individual completion records).
Permissions
The App requests only the minimum permissions needed for its functionality. Depending on your device, Android version, and libraries merged into the build, additional technical permissions may appear in the Play Console or device settings (for example, permissions automatically added by the Android framework or dependencies). Typical user-facing capabilities include:
- Vibration: if you enable related settings, the App may use the device vibrator for feedback.
- Keep screen on: if enabled, the App may keep the screen awake while you are playing.
If future versions add permissions, we will update this policy and the Play Store listing accordingly.
Security
Local data is protected by the same security model as other apps on your device (app sandboxing). No method of electronic storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security if your device is compromised by malware or unauthorized access.
Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in a way that identifies them. If you believe we should address a specific concern, please contact us using the details below.
Your choices
- You can remove local data by clearing the App’s storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the App.
- You can delete individual completion records inside the App where that control is provided.
International users
Because this version does not require you to send personal data to our servers for core features, most information stays on your device. If you contact us by email, your message will be processed according to normal email practices.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (summary)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, applicable data protection laws may grant you rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or objection regarding personal data. Where processing is limited to local-only data on your device that we do not receive on our servers, many of these rights are exercised directly on your device (for example, clearing app data or deleting records in-app). For questions, contact us below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version at the same hosting location you use for Google Play and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy where required by applicable law.
Google Play & Data safety
For the Google Play Data Safety section, declare practices consistent with this policy at the time you submit or update the app. In the current version described here, core gameplay data and preferences are stored locally on the device; we do not operate in-app account login, and we do not integrate ad SDKs as described above.
