Introduction

Beautiful China ("we," "our," or "us") is a mobile application that helps you explore scenic spots and related content in China. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the App and how it is handled.

We do not operate a user login system in the App. We do not require you to create an account to use core features. We do not sell your personal information as a standalone data broker; however, when advertising is enabled (see "Advertising and AppLovin" below), data may be shared with advertising partners as described there for ad delivery and measurement.

By using the App, you acknowledge this policy.

Advertising and AppLovin

Upcoming release: A future version of the App is planned to show advertisements using AppLovin (including AppLovin's software development kits and related services, such as AppLovin MAX where applicable). Until you install that version, those SDKs are not active in your build; this section describes how things will work once that version is available and you update the App.

When the advertising-enabled version is installed and runs:

• We and our advertising partners may collect, use, and share certain information for advertising, attribution, fraud prevention, and analytics, including device and technical data (for example, advertising identifiers such as Google Advertising ID on Android, or similar identifiers on other platforms where supported), IP address, app version, and general location inferred from IP.
• Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, your choices, and applicable law. Where required, we will present a consent or preferences mechanism (for example, a certified consent management platform) before or when enabling personalized advertising.
• Third-party demand partners may also process data when an ad is served; their practices are governed by their own policies.

We disclose our collection, use, and sharing of data with third parties for advertising purposes, and we list AppLovin as such a third party. You should also review AppLovin's Policies for Publishers and your app store's rules regarding ads and data disclosures.

You can limit ad tracking or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings (for example, Google Ads settings on Android). Additional in-app or system controls may be offered when the advertising build is released.

What We Do Not Do (account and our servers)

• We do not upload your favorites, quiz scores, or other locally stored app data to our own servers (we do not provide a central account backend for this App).
• We do not use AppLovin or other ad services in connection with experiences exclusively directed to children as defined under applicable laws; we configure advertising tools consistent with AppLovin's requirements and applicable app store policies.

Network Access and Third-Party Content

The App uses the Internet permission to load scenic descriptions, images, and optional supplemental data from remote locations configured in the App (for example, public repositories, image hosting, or content delivery networks used to serve pictures and text). In advertising-enabled versions, the Internet permission is also used to request and display ads and to communicate with AppLovin and ad networks. When your device requests such content:

• Your device sends standard web requests (typically over HTTPS).
• Those servers may process technical metadata that is common for any website or API request, such as IP address, request headers, and timestamps, according to their own policies.
• We do not control those third-party servers; please refer to their privacy notices if you need details.

Image and text loading is used solely to display tourism-related content inside the App.

Data Stored on Your Device Only

The following data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us as part of a user account (because the App does not use such an account):

• Favorites: identifiers of scenic spots (or similar items) you mark as favorites.
• Quiz and game results: scores or records from in-app quizzes, stored locally (e.g., in a local database).
• Other preferences: app settings stored on device (e.g., via local storage).

This data remains on your device unless you clear app data, uninstall the App, or use in-app controls where available.

Permissions

The App requests the minimum permissions needed for its functionality. Typical permissions include:

• Internet access: to load remote content described above.

If future versions add permissions (for example, for notifications), we will update this policy and the Play Store listing accordingly.

Security

We design the App to use secure connections where remote content is loaded (HTTPS is used when the remote endpoint supports it). No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of third-party networks.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for our own account purposes. When an advertising-enabled version is used, we do not intend to use advertising services in a manner that targets children as defined under applicable laws (including COPPA where relevant) or contrary to our partners' policies; if you believe a child's information has been processed inappropriately, please contact us using the details below.

Your Choices

• You can remove local data by clearing the App's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the App.
• You can disable network access for the App through device settings (note that content that requires network loading may not work).

International Users

If you use the App outside your country of residence, your device may connect to servers located in various regions when loading third-party content. By using the App, you understand that such connections may occur.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (summary)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, applicable data protection laws may grant you rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or objection regarding personal data. Where our processing is limited to local-only data on your device that we do not receive on our servers, many of these rights are exercised directly on your device (e.g., clearing app data). For advertising-related processing carried out by AppLovin and its partners, consent or legitimate-interest flows (as applicable) will be presented where required when you use an advertising-enabled version; you may also exercise rights with those partners as described in their notices. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Google Play & Data Safety

For the Google Play Data Safety section, declare practices that match the version you submit: builds without the AppLovin integration should not declare advertising ID collection for ads until that SDK is included; once you release a build with AppLovin, update the Data Safety form to reflect collection or sharing of the advertising ID (and any other declared categories) for advertising, analytics, or fraud prevention as implemented. Local favorites and scores remain on the device as described above unless you change that behavior. Please keep Play Console answers aligned with this policy whenever you publish an update.
